I'm not really good at it but I do enjoy taking photos. I do ministry work in Central Asia each year and one of my responsibilities is documenting the trip in photos, which I summarize in a slideshow. This is the last slideshow that I prepared after visiting Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in March. All of the photos are from my 5D MkIV with a variety of lenses.

Wow, John, That is not bad at all ! Great to see this other side of what you use your camera for. My favorite photos were those around the bonfire and that shot with all the glowing embers going up into the dark sky. Nice work!

KEH camera is having 20% off sale until 12/12 so I did something today I have been contemplating for a long time. I ordered a used Nikon D500 (not to be confused with the D5000). I Already have a 300mm F4 lens I bought about 15 years ago so I should be back in business for shooting birds and airshow stuff soon (oh and my Sons' baseball games). Camera condition was rated as excellent plus and ended up paying $720 for it after the discount. I think it was like $1700 new when it came out 8 years ago so I am happy with my price. Funny thing, KEH was only giving 10% off during Black Friday/Cyber week and I almost pulled the trigger then, but something told me to wait...

I do love my Fuji X-T3 as my main every day camera... The one thing it is not great at though is sports/wildlife/action (read as fast and accurate auto-focus and subject tracking). Now I used to have a Nikon D300 that I bent the pins on for the memory card and that put it out of action. Been wanting a replacement for my D300 and the D500 is supposed to be about is good as it gets for a sports and wildlife DSLR. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the postman...

The Nikon D500 Arrived today. Works pretty good. Caught this Downy woodpecker at the back yard feeder.

That is a photo like you’d see in a nature magazine taken by a professional :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

That is a really good picture! Nature provided you with fabulous lighting. In our world full of smartphone snapshots it is always great to see a well done photograph.
Cheers,
