That's a very good video John. 17 years old and flying into battle. You could really since the connection he had to the aircraft.

I wonder if he flew with the 343rd? That unit was the IJNAF equivalent of Adolf Galland’s JV-44, but flying the Shiden Kai. All the pilots in that unit were hand picked by Minoru Genda to fly the Shiden Kai, the best late war naval fighter, and were highly combat experienced naval aviators.
