Beautiful 1/32 F4U-1D
Take a look at Brett Green's new Tamiya 1/32 F4U-1D at http://www.hyperscale.com/2017/gallerie ... 32bg_1.htm . He does some nice work.

I wish, just once, these guys would show how it is done. Video would be nice. The pictures are so good, it boggles the mind. . . well, what mind I have left. I see that they used this or that and that the engine was wired up with copper and so on. I have to see it done to even begin to grasp it.BlackSheep214 wrote:Medicman71 wrote:Wow. That's insane!!

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

It's nice. Looks a little overweathered for my taste. And aircraft are almost never serviced when armed up with ordnance. Safety safety safety.... things that go boom go on last just before start engines and take off.

Brett Green will be producing a how to book for this aircraft. I have his books on the Tamiya 1/32 P 51 and Mosquito. They are a help in detailing and general construction. Here is his build of the Meng F 35A. . http://www.hyperscale.com/2017/galleries/f35a48bg_1.htm

Brett is a very good modeller when it comes to painting and weathering. This Corsair clearly shows that. I have his Osprey Luftwaffe book, bought many moons ago. It has been very helpfull ate raising my standard of building. Even thought some of the techniques and materials used are a bit dated.

I've been getting Ammo of MiG books for that reason. There's a lot of good info in them. Yes they do use a lot of their own product but you can get the idea using other stuff.
