Twin turbine R/C F-15 video

Post by wjkunert »

This is a video of a twin turbine powered radio control F 15. The noise from the prop planes takes away from the sound of the turbines but it's a nice plane. Crashing one of these could cost you over $10K.

This truely looks like a real F-15! Love the remote canopy closure and the airbrake. One of the best and convincing RC adaptions I have seen!

The F 15 is a truly amazing aircraft. It's been in front line service since the middle 70s and it still dominates the skies. Not one has ever been lost to enemy fire. Israel had a F 15 involved in an air to air collision which tore off the right wing and the aircraft was able to return to base and land successfully(landing speed was about 220knots). The wide fuselage gave enough lift to keep it in the air. There is a you tube video about the incident. They plan on several more years of service from the F 15. It is truly a great plane.
