I think I've only built two Italeri models. They were alright and I can't remember any serious problems that weren't self-imposed. :grin:

That's a mighty good looking Finnish Hawk! This particular example, the HW-302, was the first BAe Mk 51 Hawk that was delivered to Finland, 16th of December 1980.

Sadly, the same Hawk, in March 1981, crashed to the ground while recovering from a loop. The pilot, who attempted to eject from the aircraft while it was flying at a low altitude in a partially inverted position, died upon impact with the ground. The passenger, who was also in the aircraft when it crashed, was seriously injured.

The Mirage was originally an ESCI mold that Italeri got with the rest.
