Yes, it is fairly bright.
To see the color, you might look at Yellow Wings Decals website, I am sure one of their sheets is of the Green section. Or you could look at Starfighter Decals site, I know that they have that color on some of their 1/72 sheets.

You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

That green looks pretty close to the little square bottle Testors green enamel. Or one of the Humbrol colors. Worst case, it is easily mixed from blue and yellow...

I'd suggest X-28 Park Green or X-15 Light Green in that order, from the Tamiya line. I don't use Vallejo very often.

I google "WW2 era oxygen bottle"...there seems to be several shades. This example seemed to be "in the middle".
I can't give a definitive answer to the color of the extinguisher...I do know that at some point, they were a brass color, before red became standard.

Re: Dauntless, rear deck bottles?
Is there any information on about what year they changed from brass to red? (Why do i feel like im opening a can of worms here)
Edit: finding a lot of brass ones from 1943, less so red ones. So im wondering if painting it brass would be not wrong.

Re: Dauntless, rear deck bottles?
The red extinguisher came off a restored SBD that they pulled out of Lake Michigan and restored to original condition in the Detail and Scale book. It is not a free use extinguisher like the one in your photo, but plumbed into the aircraft. Possibly for the engine compartment? Now if you're building a SBD-5, those came off the production line and entered service in mid 1943 or so. The red is more likely than the bare metal bottle.
