Look great to me?

:P1: Me too. I think you have it just right there.

Side note, I do recall watching a film in a training class last year about tire manufacture. I vaguely recall them saying something about lamp black or carbon black or some similar compound being added to the rubber during the manufacturing process. Of course that is for modern tires, but still...

Thanks for your help Gents - the comments about the manufacturer of the tyres was very interesting.

I've since touched them up and I'll post up some finished pics whilst we have a bit of daylight - I'm kind of unsure as to what to do next tbh :hmm:

Here's a better shot of what they look like - hopefully about right.

Dirty it up and it’ll look good. The color looks spot on.

Lookin' good from this angle Stuart! I usually paint mine with a base coat of MM Flat Black Acrylic followed up with a dry brushing of a mixture of ground up grey and a little bit of brown to simulate the color of worn rubber. Comes out looking something like this:

Thanks Gents! I'm really glad I got it in the right ball park!

So you think a bit of a wash next?

(Joe - that build is awesome man!)
