The TF 104G I'm building has 4 lights on the removable tail section. The upper two are red and blue. Does anybody know the color of the two lower lights?
Thanks

Re: F-104 lights

Hello! I am at work so I do not have access to my folder on the Starfighter, but I believe you may find information specific to your 104G (the modified, beefier tail from the trainer version) if you search for the instructions from the Cutting Edge decal set. Also I do recommend this site:

Make more models!

Re: F-104 lights
I took these pictures of a F-104 G a few years ago, unfortunately only from the starboard side. Indeed, the upper light is blue, but the lower... hmm

I will visit this museum (Hermeskeil in Germany) again in 3 weeks time, but I guess it's too late. Could take more precise pictures of any part of this very unique plane.

Re: F-104 lights
I have lots of pictures from the IPMS Nedeland site https://www.ipms.nl/walkarounds/walkaro ... kheed-f104 But none of them show the bottom lights color. There are several shots of the specific 104, D-5803, I'm building but no joy on the lights.

I'm not exactly sure what lights you're referring to but this walk around clearly shows a red light on the upper fuselage tail section and something referred to as an arrestor hook spring viewer - similar shape and size below.

But then there are lights also "downwards".
Seems they are also red / blue ..
Slightly bad picture, but you see them

Thank you for the outstanding series of close up views. The two lights, or what I thought to be lights, are apparently viewing ports. All these views will be very helpful with decal placement. This is the most comprehensive series of 104 closeups I've ever seen. Great work,
Thanks again.
