I would have figured that the Red 3 model was blown up. I guess that they made more than one, or when you saw Biggs shot down, they used a different model. I guess I need to watch the original... again. For research purposes of course.
Considering that the model is over 40 years old now ( 1977 release, so 1976 filming), it looks ok... just needs a fix to the upper right wing/ s-foil... looks like whatever was holding it up failed... nothing that can’t be fixed.

Awesome story Bruce! I wonder when the Seattle museum got ahold of it. I don’t recall seeing it there when I went to that museum in 2006 after coming back from overseas.

The Planet Hollywood restaurant chain used to have movie miniatures on display as part of their decor. Along with props and costumes on mannequins. The one that we used to frequent had a TIE fighter in a case in one of the dining areas, and a very large ( I’m talking 10-12 feet long at least ) Red October Typhoon Class SSBN suspended over the bar. I wonder what happened to those items when the chain closed.
