Metal Earth PE kits...

Post by BlackSheep214 »

As you know, I got 2 of them for Christmas from my son; the Tiger I tank and the B-17 Fortress bomber

First up is the B-17 Fortress bomber. This one fought me every step of the way due to tons of bending of circular shapes. I've done all I could ut managed to get this one done despite all the cursing and muttering to myself. LOL!!

Next is the Tiger I tank. This one is surprisingly easier to do than the B-17. Just pay attention to the raod wheel placement order. The only trouble spot that gave me fits was installing the bottom plate at the last step. I had to resort to applying a bit of Flexy glue for PE on the lower angle plate to the bottom and nose front. Oh yeah... it included a metal gun barrel!!!

That is a nice diversion from polystyrene! The Tiger looks especially good.

Thank you. I've got another Metal Earth B-17 Fortress around here from last year. I'll try again only this time I'll take my time with it.

Very nice work,I have been tempted myself, but I hate PE as it is and I figured these kits wouldn’t help. But they do look cool.

Remarkable work man! They don't look like they gave you many issues at all. That must be a testament to your skills. Like Tojo, I'm not a big fan of Photo-etch, but you look to have the skills well in hand to complete such incredible models. Bravo! :shoutout:

You can find them in Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and Barnes & Noble stores. Not sure if Walnmart or Target has them.
