Most people, IMO, who give it a good review are either not knowledgeable enough about the subject matter to know if it is accurate or not, or don't care and think every model produced by ANYONE is a favor to the modeling community so they dare not upset the manufacturers...I actually like a lot of what Eduard puts out and think their 110, 190, 109E versions, MiG-15, etc. kits are top notch, as is most of their AM stuff. But they really shot themselves in both feet on this 109...JimD wrote:Well isn't the general consensus on Eduards AM that it's usually lacking in accuracy anyway? I've seen a lot of more knowledgeable people than myself claim that it's usually just better looking...not necessarily more accurate (re: their resin and PE).
Now that's getting past all the "highly recommended just for the hell of it" ....... "reviews" a'hem

Paying 25 $ for an inaccurate AM bronze leg
. Very good one !
Re: Eduard's 109 G-6
I'm hoping Aires, or some other AM company, provides Eduard with a "corrected" set of struts for this kit...wasabi wrote:Paying 25 $ for an inaccurate AM bronze leg![]()

Re: Eduard's 109 G-6
I will bet you that SAC will make a white metal version. And it wil be and exact copy of the original only in soft white metal. Anyway, to bad Eduard has dropped the ball on this one. Let's hope it is a one time thingManny1943 wrote:I'm hoping Aires, or some other AM company, provides Eduard with a "corrected" set of struts for this kit...wasabi wrote:Paying 25 $ for an inaccurate AM bronze leg![]()

So are these going for about 5 bucks on Ebay yet or what?
Can you fly this plane and land it? Surely you can't be serious? I am serious, and don't call me Shirley

Other than perhaps a Spartan cockpit, I never thought anything was wrong with the Hasegawa example. I have several Gustavsson in the stash...

Re: Eduard's 109 G-6
Well, the Hasegawa also has an accuracy issue: "The most discussed accuracy issue, however, was around 2 millimetres (four scale inches) missing from the fuselage between the front of the windscreen and the rear of the engine cowling."lawdog114 wrote:Other than perhaps a Spartan cockpit, I never thought anything was wrong with the Hasegawa example.
