Weird and Wild Model kits

Post by BlackSheep214 »

I stumbled across these in modelcars.com website this evening. I haven't seen these model kits in years! And they're still around to buy online.

BlackSheep! What a flashback! I did not know that those kits were still out n' about! You should pick up a few! I also checked the entire site... have you purchased from there before? They have a lot of cool stuff.

Back to Weird-Ohs (and Silly Surfers), I am so happy you found and posted this link! Were you goin' to build Rommel's Rod? I wanna try building that with Tamiya's Hanomag tracks instead of the kit's versions... and do something other than that dreadfully anemic powerplant....

Thanks again! All the best!

That’s where a good spares bin comes in handy...

I haven’t ordered anything yet, Bruce. Like I mentioned, I stumbled across this site by pure luck. Duke would be tickled to find a nice variety of 1/72 scale armor and artillery items available.

I’ve been noticing and comparing their prices to scalehobbyist, the prices aren’t too bad either depending on what you’re looking for.

I’d love to do another childhood kit - the Rommel Rod again. :lashed:

The Rommel’s Rod is supposed to be re issued next year when Revell USA gets going again...

Some of those older kits are pretty cool. I never really got into that style of figures but I do like the cars.

I've got a "Rommel's Rod" in the stash but don't have some of the stuff that I'd like to have to build it. That OOB engine would have to go though I can tell you that.
