Good points, gents. My feeling is the migration from org to cc indicates a response to the threat of server shut down. I assume when Post Image set up a separate link for adult content that was in response to a complaint.
What is going to be difficult will be moving established images we previously uploaded one by one to the new server address. In sympathy with Carlos, I do not want to waste time editing individual picture links. Also, any embedded links, such as links quotes within a conversation, are not going to be editable unless the person who made the comment edits the image references.
Finally, once a company changes servers, they may change servers again....

I can't see any of the images that are posted from Postimage.org.

Re: Postimage.org
This really sucks, wonder also if I have energy to ”update” all reference adresses in my picture links..
There should certainly be a bulk-edit option for those who can moderate all the posts in one go?
Like, Search ”Postimage.org” and replace ”Postimage.cc”
Thomas, Torben, is it possible ?

Re: Postimage.org
I sympathize with you, Kari, as well. My course of action was to take my one active build and corral all of the photos from my iPhone to a hard drive, in preparation for creating a photo set online some where over the rainbow. I am at the point of trying Flickr, which is a low point indeed, as their interface is very sucky (technical phrasing).

Re: Postimage.org
I've been using Flickr since the Photobucket incident and have had no problems on the computer or using my phone.

That is good to know, Medic. I will check out Flickr. I had two negative experiences—one with uploads and the other with using Flickr’s albums, and I have to admit now I am being hasty. Thank you for the correction.

It does take some getting used to how it all works. But once you figure it out, it's very easy to use.speedgraflex wrote:That is good to know, Medic. I will check out Flickr. Re: Postimage.org
I'm still using Postimage. It has the simplest interface, which is helpful when posting a lot of photos, which I do. And all of my photos been automatically migrated over to the Postimage.cc site. Everything looks and operates the same as before except *.cc instead of *.org. Like Kari mentioned, it'd be cool if forum mods could somehow do a global FIND/REPLACE. Or maybe a browser add-on will be developed like what happened with Photobucket.
