OUCH! I was talking about plastic, but this is worse! Whoa! What a crazy situation they set up for you. Like Kari said, protection is essential; might I suggest a wind tunnel along with the Fallout suit?

I do hear you on that molded in detail and attaching delicate parts like that to those stupid blocks Bruce. OUCH!!!!
I have a love/ hate relationship with automotive PE emblems and have gotten better at it. I used to use super glue to adhere them to a car body..............BIG mistake. Clear acrylic is the way to go so the area that the emblem is being applied to can be cleaned up with no damage if a mistake is made.
Can you see the risk here on a pristine paint job?

That would make me nervous; damn skippy it would: my subtitle would be, “And do not breathe!” That is one hell of a photograph, Mustang; what a “clear view,” too. Bravo. And that paint job is killer.
Yup, sawing resin casting blocks can be a pain. I actually don't mind the long connections if as they are narrow like that Vector P-51 wheel well insert. I find BIG AND FAT casting blocks to be a real pain getting off.
The complete left end of this Me262 cockpit/wheel well tub needed to be sawed off. It had to be attacked from many different angles with the concluding cuts ending up at the center as opposed to the opposite side.
