Sprue Bros. has the Meng 1/48 F 35A on sale for $30 ending today, the 29th.Best price I've seen from a stateside store and a really decent kit.

And you are weak... LOL! I'll admit, that is a great price...

Yes it was a moment of weakness... and yes it was too good a price to pass up... momma was not to happy, but the facts that I did not have one already and that it was something like 40% off did not hurt my case when it showed up... :giggles: :lashed:

You da man. Are you sleeping inside again?

Mission models has great paint for the F 35. Glad I alerted you to the sale. I paid a bit more for mine and had to wait for them to come from Asia. Fitting the wings to eliminate the seam on the upper surface is a bit troublesome. On my second one I believe I mounted the bottom wing then fitted the top wing. I wish they had molded the wings and fuselage as one piece like Hasegawa did on the F22. If you are going to get masks I would go for the Galaxy masks instead of the DNModels masks. They are less expensive and include canopy and wheel masks which DN charges extra for.

Lyle, with the cold bug going around our house right now, who sleeps where is not related to what came in the mail thankfully... :bag: and yes, I’m still sleeping in my normal spot :peace:

WJ, I will look up your build thread when it comes time to build mine, for hints and tips of things to watch out for in construction. But I’ll pass on the masks, I don’t use the pre made masks myself. I just need to get the proper paints. I know the 22 and 35 have a funky metallic sheen to their finish.
