I believe that the Tamiya F-16’s are later versions. CG or CJ versions. The earlier production types are getting harder to find nowadays.

After a bit of researching, you are correct! It does have the correct chute fairing. Taking stik's advice of checking out F-16.net and my own findings in Wings Palette website, the kit you found is a solid match. Thank you!!

I found the kit at Free Time Hobbies. Although it is a Hobby Boss but the staff there was able to answer my questions about the kit concerning the chute fairing. Couldn't tell from the box art. Oh yeah, I also ordered some static dischargers for the kit too. (https://freetimehobbies.com/1-72-master ... cs-2spare/)

Hobby Boss F-16A in 1/72? I’m gonna have to look that one up... :hmm:

I have a bunch of the Revell MLu kits and they all have the para tail.
