F-16A Venezuelan Viper

Post by BlackSheep214 »

I have a Venezuelan Viper decal set and am having a hard time finding a good 1/72 scale F-16A kit. I know it's a Block 15 with a long tail where the chute is located. So far I can find is Hasegawa F-16A Plus Fighting Falcon kit but I'm not sure if it's the correct kit. Italeri and Revell has good ones but hard to find. I'm trying to avoid using eBay if possible due to a warning from eBay of my prefer method of doing transactions. (I don't like to use my credit card thru eBay )

Not 100% sure if this is the right one but it looks to have the chute fairing at the back.

I saw that kit as well but I'm not 100% sure either considering it's an MLU of a F-16A version.

Went to look at SPAM’s F-16 guide here on the forums but pics can no longer be seen since the OP used Photobucket. :bored: Any chance to get those forums threads fixed?

This kit would be your best option. It has the larger Block 15 stabilators, and the tail parapack housing. Just leave off the “bird slicer” antennas ahead of the cockpit and below the intake mouth.

Hmm.... I do have that kit in my stash for the purpose of building it OOB. I’ll take a look at the kit’s contents and guide.

You can find everything you need about any F-16 here. Right down to individual airframe history...

FWIW...The Tamiya 1/72 F-16 is a GREAT kit!!!
Not sure if it represents everything you're looking for, though(???)

Fermis, is this is the kit I mentioned above you’re talking about?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. That’s why I’ve been trying to find the instruction guide online to this kit to see if it’s doable. Other than that, these would fit the bill. Except, I can’t find them anywhere.
