Update on Meng F 35A
I'm at the point of decaling the F 35. It was painted with Mission Models Have Glass Grey (FS36170) and Light Ghost Grey (FS36375) which are the spec colors. One problem. It appears Meng has done the decals in a color almost identical to FS36370 and any decals on the lighter areas around the intakes and canopy are barely visible. The first one I build, which I messed up used Lite Gull Grey (FS16440) which was referenced early on as it was apparently not known the spec color. It is much lighter and the decals do show up a little bit better but it's really too light. It would probably be a good idea to source decals from an aftermarket source. Also the Meng decal sheet is very small and crowded with very small decals. It's not easy to cut apart without damaging some of the tiny decals.

Well, it's not a total loss. Here's what the operational F-35A's look now.
