Helicopters?
Re: Helicopters?
The Helix is the only chopper I have build. I have only a few more. Interestingly enough all Russian they do make them look badass!

That's a good video Medic - I really didn't know yuo guys had EC-145's (UH-72) - Are they made in Europe or under licence? Most of the airmed or Police helicopters I see around here are those.Medicman71 wrote:I have several in the stash. Need to get an Apache and a Cobra still.
Oh and some helos that are operating around Houston right now.

I'd be up for that - I suggested one a while ago actually.Stikpusher wrote:That's a Seahawk my friend...BlackSheep214 wrote:The last helicopter kit I've done was decades ago - a Navy Blackhawk. My first was waaaaaaay back in the 70s - a Huey chopper with rockets. I agree, helicopters are under appreciated. I have a couple on my wish list though.![]()
Now I gotta ask...
Is this the beginnings of a Group Build?

Got at least 6 in the works, 3 or 4 unstarted, and 4 or 5 done.

Yeah the US Army started getting them for US domestic rescue and liaison duties. They are not combat coded. A lot of civilian medivac services use them too.portman wrote:Medicman71 wrote:I have several in the stash. Need to get an Apache and a Cobra still.

Re: Helicopters?
Yeah, the downside, is that the units that now use the Lakotas lost combat capable helicopters. They are non combat deployable with what they have. So much for "train how you will fight". And the reality is the Guard and Reserves make up a large slice of who has been fighting since 9/11.

Re: Helicopters?
The last helicopter I remember building was a South African Agusta and that was a few years ago. Or maybe it was my 1/72 scale Mi-26 Halo that was finished about two years ago. I can't remember right now. I do have a couple under construction....somewhere......
I've been to the Group Build suggestion thread so lets see about getting one of these started.
