Problem: removing liquid mask

I used Micro Mark liquid mask for my Mitsubishi MU-2J to seal the masking tape. Unfortunately it bled trough and now I have blue liquid mask stains. So, does anyone have a solution for this? How can I remove it?

Man, what a mess! Sorry to see this. Laq thinner? Isopropyl Alcohol? Chocolate milk?

Looks bad. Sorry for this to happen. I have a bottle of Goo-Gone here with me I once got in a PX near Heidelberg. This is what I possibly would try first. Aside from this, maybe alcohol (Iso)?

What paint type did you use? No matter what paint, stay away from lacquer thinner, that will attack any paint. Isopropyl Alcolohol may attack an acrylic paint, as would windex, so be careful there.

I used Tamiya acrylic, so anything with ammonia is a no go. (That is why I also do not use Humbrol Maskil anymore but I never had a bleed problem with Maskol )

I have come up with the following possible other solutions (thanks google!)
- remove with blue tack
- add more mask because a thicker layer is easier to remove
- scratch with a toothbrush and/or toothpick

I think I will try these before turning to a chemical solution which can possibly attack the paint.

Is this the same as Microscale Industries Micro Mask? It seems to be the same color. This stuff is water soluble and not recommended for acrylic paints. This could be part of the problem. The paint may have mixed with the mask and run under the tape. Acrylic thinner might touch it or even soapy water.

Doh!
I switched to Micro Mask because I use acrylics. Before that I used Maskol but I knew that was not compatible with acrylic. Soapy water sound like a gently and safe solution. I will give it a go.

So, does anyone know a liquid mask that is compatible with acrylic?

In regards to Micro Mark not being compatible with acrylics, I just recently used Tamiya thinned with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner and used the Micro Mark masking product on a canopy with no problems. I may have just been extremely lucky, but I'm wondering if thinning the paint with the lacquer thinner removes that part of the problem?

If I just lucked out I'll sigh a huge sigh of relief since this was done on the Zero I'm doing for the review. I'll try to get some photos taken and posted soon.
