I hear Top Gun 2 is in the works. I do know Val Kilmer who plays Iceman looked like hell due to health issues. I'm curious if he will make a return to the sequel.
My guess on TG2 is Maverick and Iceman will return to Fighter Town as TG instructors training new hot shot fighter pilots.

Yeah.... anything is possible. Grudge between Ice and Maverick gone bad causing a loss of life on a fellow recruit perhaps? Who knows.

I'm thinking the second one won't be as good, unless the Navy is willing to support this as they did the first one. That will be the biggest hurdle, since the Navy won't want a story that makes them look bad.
