Eduards new 109G-6

Post by KSaarni »

Hi all,

As most of you know, Eduard has just released their version of the 109G-6 as Profipack.
Being myself an enthusiast of this particular plane, of course it will be on my "must shop" - list.

So what did I do?

I first went on Eduards homepage to see if I could order the plane from there.
You would assume, the price being if not cheaper, at least on the same level as anywhere else.
The price, for a non-member is 37,45 € (sorry US guys using only Euros in my examples).

Eduard has also a club, where by paying roughly 56€ you get a kit & T-shirt and become a member.
Then you get a 15% discount on their webshop.. in that case the price would be ~32€)

So I thought, let's make a quick price inventory of some common web-shops around here..
P&P costs are nevertheless pretty much same from my angle (in othe words if delivered to Belgium) so I disregard that.

Hannants in UK, ~ 34,3 €
Aviation Megastore, NL, ~ 33 €
Kuivalainen, FIN ~ 30€
and then:
Modellbau König, DE, ~28 € !! --> ~25% cheaper!

Quite big discrepancy between prices!

One thing though is for sure, will not order the kit from Eduard... :-)

Im getting frustrated by the amount of 109's eduard are producing. I feel like there are more subjects they could be tackling with their godlike abilities.
You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Hi,

Eduard's shop prices are really weird when you compare the price in Czech Koruna and in Euros or USD.

For example, their new bf-109 is priced 675 Kr, ie 24 €. If you display the price in Euros, the same item will cost you 37.45 €.

While randomly looking at the chat log of this week with the boss of the company, someone pointed that discrepancy. Answer of the boss:

[20:44] <#@VladimirSulc> tarby: I don´t know. It is a question for our zendesk.

... I am sure he knows

Plausible deniability....He has probably told then not to tell him, but get it anyway they can...
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Too many 109's is an oxymoron. ;)

I'm building the new Eduard Bf 109G-6 for Tamiya mag, and so far finding it to be a great kit for fit, including all the Brassin parts. Whilst reviews are always subjective, I'd definitely give this a recommended for an in-box look ;)

I'm with you on this. I'd like to see them put the same attention into a series of FW-190s. I think they would be just as popular.
