Propeller of Grumman Wildcat F4F-4 Wildcat ?

Hi guys,

about to finalize my, sort of speed build (yes, pictures will be shared) of my Airfix WIldcat...
What is left now is more or a less some conservative weathering before I will share, first time in my life something in the "completed builds" section...

What I would need to know is, if the propeller blades of this type of Wildcat was wooden or metal? I guess it was metal, though not 100% sure... And to make a stupid error weathering a wooden blade with aluminium color of so would be kind of stupid mistake..

I have tried to google to get an answer, but without really being successful...

So I turn to you guys, the incredible database of knowledge..Were the blades wooden or metal ?

I think that in general the US aircraft industry got away from wooden propellers fairly early on. Probably in the 1920 early in the "Golden Wings" era.
