I getting ready to embark on a rare aircraft build for me.I hve the Hobby Boss F4U-5 Corsair.I will build it as a bird from VF-44 on the USS Coral Sea.
The color pictures seem to indicate that the main and tail wheel wells are also Navy Blue, but the actual instructions don't say anything.Would that be correct,or would it be interior green or white ?
Also the cockpit, interior green with black panels and consoles ?
thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Some Color Questions
Gloss Sea Blue is what the color of the struts and wheel wells should be. The Navy did not go to white in those areas until about the time the Gray over White scheme was introduced in the mid 50s.
I want to say black on the cockpit on a -5. Check the IPMS Stockholm site article on US aircraft interior colors to be sure.

Just what I would have decided on. The dash 5´s are the most attractive Corsairs ever. Still hoping for a (Tamiya) one in 1/35 scale...Stikpusher wrote:Gloss Sea Blue is what the color of the struts and wheel wells should be.
