Another Stearman coming from Revell in 1/48

Post by Stikpusher »

Today I was at the LHS with my son, and in one corner they have a rack with the latest Revell releases. On the side of the rack they have flyers from Revell listing upcoming new releases. Well I had a look at the flyer, and it appears that Revell is issuing another version of their sweet new 1/48 Stearman- an aerobatic type like the ones that appear at many air shows!

Looks like a nice bit of something different.

Party poopers... :puzzle: Yes, the trainer PT-17 is a very sweet kit. Well detailed inside and out. This one just looks pretty cool to me with the wheel spats, revised fuselage spine, enclosed engine... Hopefully they will have a few colorful schemes to choose from. Just something a bit different, that's all.

Aw sweet! Gonna keep an eye out for that one!! Saw a Stearman at the Rochester Air Show last year in the tarmac but he didn't take it to the air. Bummer.... Would have love to see one go up.

I have good memories of seeing lots of Stearmans flying around here.... From my youth until fairly recently you can often see them flying the coast here...

Saw two of these fly over my house yesterday - lovely sound.

I hear good things about this Stearman kit - I might have to get one and practice my Rigging!
