Do you have WIP...

Post by Stuart »

I was just going through my pile of WIP the other day and it occured to me that I currently have 7 models all assembed with their wings on waiting to progress + a load others with minor work done.

How much do you guys have in WIP - or are you a started what you finished, one at a time type?

I normally have two going at the same time. I work on one while the other dries, etc.

A lot of it depends on what stage I'm at in construction, but usually 2-3 being worked on, while I'm also planning my next.

I have to many WIPs currently. Two should be my limit but I got five at the moment. So little focuses means little progress.

I have Two Skyhawks, One Phantom and One Hellcat going right now.

That is just about how I've done it in the last two decades or more.

I started doing them in batches one night when all I took to work were the cockpit colors and a "Six Pack of Scooters"

I kept the habit after those were finished.

For me, 4 is a bit low, and I didn't actually realize that I only had one Phantom going. I'll get started on a couple more, and a couple more Skyhawks to make it right.

I aim to only have one going at a time. I have a few armour builds that are finished but I still need to do the bases and figures to complete the dio, but that's it.

I have four going on at the moment. (All 1/48)

Revell A-7A Corsair II (Final assembly before paint)
AMT F7F-3N Tigercat (In paint stage)
Hobby Boss EMB-314 Super Tucano (Build stage)
Italeri Tornado F.3 ADV (Nightmare stage)

I like to have several going that way there's always something to do.
