Turns out the millenium falcon was Tamiya

Found a photo that proves the Millennium Falcon was a Tamiya kit :drum:

You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Yeah, they used anything and everything they could get their hands on. This whole movie was a scratch builder/kit bashers paradise.

As a young modeler when those movies came out, working as a model builder at ILM was my dream job... Then along came CGI... Grrrrrrt :pod:

Oddly enough, even in episodes 1,2 and 3 (sorry for swearing) they used real models, then build on them with CGI. Adam savage worked on some of the set designs.

I had the same dream - it's partly the reason why I don't like CGI....

Just a fair warning. These next movies were made by Disney. The same idiots that brought you Frozen.
