Gator Grip Acrylic Hobby Glue....thoughts?

So, has anyone out there tried Gator Grip Acrylic Hobby Glue? Any comments, concerns or suggestions? I'm ordering a bottle of the original and the thin. Thanks in advance...

It's ok. The stuff works good enough. At least the original formula, I cant say anything about the thin formula, as I have not used that stuff. Ya just need to get used to the longer drying time as opposed to CA glues.

I use it on every build for glueing canopy and pe parts that are not stressed.

Advantages:
- It`s still a bit flexible after curing, so small parts don't ping when touched.
- No aggessive fumes that can freeze your cp from inside.
- Dilutable with water.
- Dries out transparent.
- Residues can be wiped away with a damp cloth or tissue.

Disadvantages:
- Not recommendable for stressed joints (static or dynamic).
- Looses strength when diluted.

Thanks for the information guys! I've read other reviews who also stated that the original has a longer drying time, for some applications I can see that as being helpful. I've also heard, again this is just what I've heard, but the thin seems to set up faster, more like medium CA. I'll let ya'll know what I think as soon as I start using it.

I have sort of a like/hate relationship with it. It is good for small pe parts that fit well on the model, and the occasional clear part. However, I find it dries real rubbery very fast, too fast to carefully position a part, yet at this stage it is not bonding strong enough to let go with your fingers, then the part moves or falls off, leaving the rubbery glue behind. That needs to be scraped off completely before more new glue is added. Also remember to not let it freeze, especially while its in the mail. I had to remember to order mine in the summer to be sure.

Good points to remember Nathan, I ordered mine today and it should be here in a few days. Fortunately, the weather here in Idaho has started to get into the low to mid 70's already, I'm pretty sure that freezing, at least in my area is over for the next 8 months!
My plans are to use this for canopies and some PE, and possibly other areas that I can find. Has anyone used this for resin parts? I just wanted to add this to my stash of adhesives, because like anything else, you can never have too much, right?

I don't use this to glue resin. Yes, small parts may glue to each other but for full strength I keep using CA glue for resin. Aside from this I use it as already described by Mostrich. Good stuff!
