The Duke Completes Three Aircraft in May

Post by Duke Maddog »

After all this time, I did manage to get a few aircraft done.

The first one is the old Italeri An-2 Colt in 1/72 scale...naturally:

This next one is an RS Models 1/72 scale DFS 230 German Glider of Ebon Emael fame:

Finally this last one the Special Hobby 1/72 scale Israeli Vatour fighter bomber:

That's all in aircraft for now, thank you for looking in, comments are welcome.

Imagine the wind trying to use that MG on that glider. :giggles:

Great builds all.

Nice work!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Three different and quite unique types! Very nice trio Mark! I love the Israeli twin and the DFS glider. Don’t forget those gliders also were used at Crete and the Gran Sasso Mussolini rescue raid. The Biplane is very cool too!

Very nice Mark! You complete more models in one year than I have in 15 years.

Thank you Bruce! Yes, everything is hand painted, I've been having issues with my airbrushes working well and my venting situation needs adjustment so I've been resorting to the hairy stick to get things done.

Thank you Lyle!

Thank you Carlos! Yes, the glider was used in all those other operations, but when most people hear "German glider" they immediately think of the Ebon Emael raid first.

Thank you CB and Gary!

Thank you Mike! I just love building; and I hate having things on my workbench for a long time so I try to complete them quickly.
