Can't be as bad as the first edition Eduard FW-190 A-6....
Those kits did indeed have their flaws. So much so that there was a good amount of published "tricks" to make them a little easier to build. I've got the information somewhere but I ended up building one of those first edition 190's. Once I found out the fixes for the engine firewall and wing root gap issues as well as straightening out the warped wings, it actually ended up not being all that bad.

My first edition 190 met the hammer. Oh yeah... I was pissed and frustrated. Did get the newer Eduard version for same aircraft.

[/quote] I hear ya Tom. There were a good number of folks who were more than perturbed at Eduard for the problems with that kit. I put a lot of time into studying the problems and remedies which made things a lot easier to assemble the whole thing. If a builder is trying to build a closed-up version of this kit, then it's nearly impossible. The beauty about this version is that for folks like me that enjoy building aircraft all opened up, it's a perfect offering. It's almost as though Eduard planned it that way.

Been masking all the clear parts on the Avenger. Still working on the turret. The internals are a pain in the butt to get together.

If you can't fix it with duct tape, you're not using enough duct tape.

Looking good! :shoutout: And almost ready for paint too! :hmm: I’ve read that the turret is the major speed bump on the Accurate Miniatures Avenger kits.

I feel the struggle, Mike, but I know you’ll power through. There is a fascinating factory tour of Academy online if you ever wanted to know exactly where and how they fabricate their kits. The tour does include their test build process as well as the final painted results. If interested I’ll post up a link.
