Also—here I’m using a Nieuport 11 photo of the period—presenting one way to hang the altimeter on the interior of the fuselage. This image does seem to confirm that individual French pilots would be responsible for this particular piece of equipment and explain why altimeters of the period are cased and include adaptor rings for mounting on the interior.

Does this French Aviator not possess a formidable mustache? And below we have a prime example of the instrument itself:

I don’t see the altimeter here, but this is a good angle on the cross brace for the machine gun. Eduard does provide this cross brace for the kit. See arrow for the part; the part locates in thr upper corners of the fuselage interior.

I have tucked this project away for now while I work on the Revell Sopwith Camel. Rest assured, I’ll be coming back to take on more of this one once I’ve finished the other. I’m not able to concentrate on more than one project at once, particularly when it’s hobby related.

Very wise choice. It’s challenging to bounce between two or more projects at once. That’s how I ended up with so many Shelf of Doom projects. But I’m happy to hear that you’re gonna knuckle down on the Camel.

Good idea - I'm going to try and keep my focus on one project at a time this year... well that's the plan, we'll see how long it lasts.

I was watching a commercial on Linked In where a fella was saying how he could never finish anything in his life because all of his interest was in the start and not the finish. I know the Sopwith is different because I thought, I’d like to see this model on my shelf. I know with making art, I always ask myself if I would give the finished piece to someone I like that usually makes a difference in the level of completion.

Um... I've got at least 7 1/35 kits in WIP, x2 1/72 Aircraft, a 1/700 Destroyer and a couple of 1/48 Aircraft... LOL! :bag: :headbang:

My unfinished projects are all in a basement at my buddy’s house in Utah. Sometimes I get a wild hair to revisit a kit but mostly my mind is silent. I’m hoping to turn things around this year.
