Italeri 1/72 A-10A

Post by Stuart »

I need to clear off another couple fo builds first (so just a place-holder for the mo), but I'm going to have another stab at a group build build...

Italeria's (hopefully nice) A-10A Warthog. Looks nice in the box and I also have a Eduard cockpit set for it. I might look at getting a resin seat so any suggestions taken, and maybe a replacement metal gun.

I've put away my other A-10 for the mo, but I'll get back to it at some-point. Anyway, the Warthog scares it!

:ggun:

Looks like a typical mid-90's kit Mike. Simple but reasonable detail - full load out. Probably not the most accurate but it'll look like an A-10 when finished. It looks like it'll go together okay.

Yes, taken long ago. Probably at Peason Ridge training area in Louisiana. An A-10 from the Flying Tigers that were stationed at nearby England AFB outside Alexandria.

How’s the kit itself, Stuart? I don’t know much about A-10 Warthogs or specific kits. I’d appreciate your thoughts!

Seems ok on the sprue Bruce, but only the building will tell. It certainly looks the right shape which is half the battle. Typical 1990's kit simple and not overly detailed but should look good when built.
