Upcoming Star Citizen game

Man, I'd love to build some of those space ships from the upcoming Star Citizen online game.

A little about Star Citizen online game:

It is a mass server Space Sim game. Graphics is simply awesome and the spaceships are eye candy..

The downside?

You have to pay $10/month for basic membership (or $120/year) end level or $20 for elite membership (or $240/year).. PLUS... you have to buy ships. Ridiculous if you ask me. I have been tempted to play and get my ship but I'm on the fence on this one. Although you still play now even though it's not complete until full release in 2016.

Looking great, but I am with you not going to enter a game that costs me endless money every month. Oh, the good old days of buying a computer game and play as long as you want...

This here will surely find its friends. I for myself will do some modelling...

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree Thomas. I know of a co-worker of mine who spends $15/month playing Eve online - another space sim game. Crazy way to spend money.

The days of buying PC games is a pretty much extinct now. I used to head out to Best Buy and check out the newest PC games. Not anymore. Sad really. I love playing PC games every chance I get.

Ships look amazing, however i have better things to spend my money on.
The whole subscription gaming thing bugs me, almost as much as micro-transaction gaming. Drives me wild. Thats the main reason i didnt get into WoW, couldnt bring myself to spend money on something thats going to get ruined by some jackass who things hes awesome.

Know the feeling scorp. I still belong to an online gaming squad from Delta Force 2. Even though I haven't played in quite a few years, we're all still family. Most of the guys in our squad have families and successful careers. Heck, I can tell you a couple of them are in law enforcement - Utah Sheriff deputy and Washington State detective.

Mhhh, I played Freelancer, Starlancer, Privateer II, Wingcommander II,III,IV and V to death. So this should be right up my alley. But nowadays I rarely play games other then on my iPhone. So I will skip this one.
