Losing the mojo….

Between the Star Trek Bridge finished except the face details on the figures and needing the blue for the chairs, the Monty’s Humber rear window framework in shambles and ran out of paint on the body, and trying to get back at the ‘62 Bel Air Super Stock, I’m starting to lose my mojo to go on.

I contacted Airfix on replacement parts (it’ll be at least 28 days for me to receive it) and I need to order more Gunze H320 Dark Greed and Azure blue for the Star Trek chairs before I can move on.

I almost got involved with the Apollo-Soyuz kit I bought at Syrcon but thought better enough not to start it. Out of sight, out of mind on that one for now.

I blame myself for tackling 3 kits all at once in various build stages in between. Ah well…. it’ll do me good to step away for awhile to clear my head.

I may take a trip to Walt’s Hobby Shop in Cicero next Friday since I’m off from work on Veterans Day. Who knows what I’ll find and come home with.

Understandable. Speed bumps happen, the mojo tide ebbs and flows, and life goes on. Dial it back and let things come naturally.

I about fell out of my chair after reading that! What a scream!

I kinda know how you feel Tom. I just finished a marathon model job for a museum and I'm pretty burned out. I do want to work on something that is mine, but every time I go into the battlefield that is my hobby room, that desire dries up pretty rapidly.

Yeah since the house has been on the market ive lost all motivation. Ive tried. Ive sat at the bench a few times and just...stared. I havent acheived anything. Its frustrating.

This time of year for me is usually my slowest at the bench. My work load and time at work increases dramatically. Therefore I'm exhausted when I get home. I might get an hour or two on Sunday mornings. But that's it.

Just last week I put in a 62 hour, 6 day work week.

I feel ya! With everything that has been going on, I haven't had time to do much at the bench and it's really bringing me down. Hopefully soon I can get back to it.
