airfields wood planks

Hi,

We often see nice WW2 dioramas with aircraft standing on wood planks, but to be honest I dont remember seeing pictures of real aircraft on such planks (not PSP)....
I would like to make such dioramas and I was wondering if you had any pictures of the real thing for inspiration. I checked on Gogol but didnt find any .

Naturally, I found tons of pics of models.

A little more digging...

Looks like they made "pallets" out of the timbers and just layed em out...






Still not able to find a pic of the real deal as depicted in a lot of dio's.
