Which technique to use?

I have a large kit on the bench at the moment (Youll see it when its done, dont worry, im doing a WIP for it too, just dont want to start and it becomes a box jockey like the rest of my kits)
Im nearly at main paint stage, but im not sure what painting technique to use on it.
For those curious, its tamiyas 1:48 A-10A.

Which techniques do you have in mind? Airbrush vs hand brush? Pre shading vs post shading? Washes and dry brushing? Some combination of those? None of the above?

airbrush: prime in black, shade in panel centers, thin blending coat.

Itle be airbrushed. But i was thinking black basing (using Doogs tutorial on his site) or i could prime in grey, pre shade then paint. Something like that. Im just not sure which method to use.

So 2 votes for black basing and a "What do you mean?"
Any other ideas?
Im having trouble tracking down black primer. Also its a public holiday tomorrow so nobodies open. Can i prime in white, paint black, then work from there? (white primers all i have on hand)

There is a great black primer from Alclad II as well as Vallejo. Or just use any black paint you have in stash.

I just started using that black base technique. I upgraded my AB especially for that. You need to be able to spray pretty fine dot and lines. I did not used any primer, just some Revell Aqua black. I bought some mr surfacer 1500 black just for this technique but have not used it yet.

Anyway, long story short.Black base is an interesting technique, try it, you might like it!

I´d never say you are a liar, just to make things clear. Me too has heard about people having bad luck with some of their primers, so maybe it only was some luck on my side?
