Not real hip on the 109 variants....my knowledge is limited to the differences of early (2 blade prop) vs. "E" model.....
difference in nose between "E" vs "F and G".
At some point, in the "G" series, IIRC...the angled bit on the rudder and elevators was eliminated(???)
(just basing that off the Revell 109G offering)

JimD wrote:What exactly are the physical differences between a G-6 and a G-2? Looking at profiles it appears the G-2 LOOKS more like an F. The G-6 clearly has the bulges...and the particular G-2s I'm looking to do (Romanian) don't have them...

Excuse the stupid question. I'm just trying to figure out what kit in 1/32 is going to get me closet and to me it looks like an F...be it Hasegawa or Trumpeter.
From the outside a late F and a G-2 aren't much different. The supercharger intake on the G-2 would be slightly bigger, as would the prop blades, the wheel wells would be rounded and the fuel filler point moved from under the cockpit to the forward upper spine...also, early Fs had stiffeners applied outside the fues near the tail-planes. These were moved inside in the F-4. Also, the armored windscreen was incorporated into the screen in the G models...
