Glamdring's 2021 Review

2021 was a year of many life changes for me, some for the better some for the worse. But the year was my most productive year for modeling, as being out of work for 2 months was a definite factor there. But, I now have a job that pays more and I actually like it, more or less, so I count that as an overall win.

I also started parting with kits in my stash on Ebay for the first, unfortunately others replaced them just as quickly, so that is a draw. :giggles:

Without any more yammering:

1/16 Royal Irish Hussar

1/72 Harrier

1/72 Thunderbolt

1/35 Panzer II

1/35 M115 Howitzer

1/700 HMS Invincible

1/35 Delta Force Fast Attack Vehicle

1/35 Case VAI

I had a few more that I had hoped to tie up by 12/31, but due to a compete lack of time off from work lately, they will be bumped to the 2022 list.

The biggest win last year was being invited to this forum, so thank you for welcoming me and I look forward to many more years of seeing great builds and sharing my own!

That is quite the collection and very well done! I hate how this "work" thing gets in the way...oh, I'm retired. Never mind.

A rather broad spectrum of nice models, Glamdring. Did your mother really give you that name??

Beautiful work on so many varied kits! You fit right in here with your mastery! Way to go!

John, that name is actually the name of a sword in the "Lord of the Rings" story. I believe it was the sword wielded by Gandalf the Grey (later white) if I remember my Tolkien right.

No, it's Robert.

I just started online foruming around the Lord of the Rings movie releases, and I took on the name of my favorite sword from them as my handle back then. Didn't see a need to confuse those who still know me now by changing tags.

Thanks for looking everyone! I do try and broaden my horizons by dabbling in the different genres during the year, I get bored easily so it keeps the interest up. I consider myself an armor builder primarily, but I think I am drifting away from it as the pictures show.

There was one more build that I don't have a picture of, forgot to take one before I gave it to a friend. It was a 1/35 Thunder Models Case VAI tractor. I will snap one next time I visit him, that was my favorite kit of the year.

Great builds all around but I like the figures/busts especially.
