Future Builds

I've been adding a few kits to the build queue so I thought I'd share some of the kits that I'll be tackling in the future. In no particular order.

I have the 1/35 Meng King Tiger build that is currently on the runway. This one has morphed from a simple OTB build to a full-meal deal with the Interior Set and Masterclub Metal Tracks added. Broken axle replacements are on the way from Meng so I'll probably get this one going soon after the parts get here.
Image

This one will probably be started right after the Corsair build. I will be adding the Eagle Editions resin cockpit, the RB Production photoetch wheel wells, Barracuda resin wheels, and a Henri Daehne resin prop.
Image

I am planning to do a scheme that was recently released on AIMS Late War 109's decal sheet and is portrayed on this color profile by Claes Sundin.
Image

This one has been sitting on my shelf for a while. Don't know much about the Tempest but I thought it would be a good build since it is a documented opponent of the Fw190D-9. This particular Hi-Tech boxing has an incredible resin engine.
Image

I JUST picked up this kit as a simple fill-in project. I think it would look cool next to the Tempest.
Image

And finally, this one. No, I'm not interested in doing an anime version of the Tank fighter. I really wanted the H-0 kit but that and the initial H-1 release by Zoukei Mura are both difficult to find. This anime boxing is essentially identical to the H-1 kit with the addition of another decal sheet and an anime-specific drop tank.

What have you guys got lined up for future builds?

A lot of nice kits you're presenting here. For me the high altitude Tank is the star. What a plane.

Did I put this in the wrong forum? Maybe it belongs in the Work Bench and Stash forum? Please feel free to move if necessary.

Ok I'll jump in here. After the four that I have going......

This one will be in a desert scheme with US markings.

Then I think this one.

And as a LONG term build meant for the IPMS Nationals in 2020, the Italeri MV-22. I will include the Black Dog and Lone Star Models resin sets along with LOTS of scratch building.

You are definitely in the right place, John! What a fantastic group of potential projects as well as a definite next step from the Corsair! Medic, ditto! It is great to see planning as well as intentions for IPMS in 2020. Wow!!! Time is a remarkable construct is it not? All the best to you, both of you! And I hope others will add here!

I wrote this to Kari but I will write this here as well. I am keeping a “One kit rule” because my ADD is out of control. I cannot start to think about any kits without getting in trouble with the one I am currently building. I keep thinking about HG Wells and the whole “unfinished masterpieces” line—to paraphrase him: “I would rather have a dozen finished pieces of lesser qualities than one unfinished masterpiece.” We shall see if I truly listen to him!

Meanwhile I am about 75% certain that this is next:

Medic... that Osprey build should be epic. I don't think I've ever seen one built so looking forward to that one!

Bruce... so I take it that the Trumpy P-40 and aftermarket stuff is NOT ordered yet? I applaud the discipline to add another kit to your queue to concentrate on the kit at hand. Hopefully, we'll see more progress on the Fw190 soon!

I received the AIMS Late War 109's Decal sheet. Since I have a Silhouette cutter, I thought I'd prepare some masks for the major markings.

I think I'll cut the "884" numerals on clear acetate and then mount them with Blue Tack blobs to replicate the soft edge of the sprayed numbers. Or I could even freehand it with my Badger Sotar airbrush.

Can I assume that you scanned the decal sheet and made the cutter plot from that? Steps, please....my attempts seem to always be just a bit askew.
