Eduard F6F-3 Hellcat

I must have fifteen Eduard catalogs lying around my office, and I picked one up today to flip through it. I’m waiting on the PE parts for the second in my series of Galland’s Emils to arrive (can’t start without them), and I figured it’d help pass the time and take my mind off how badly I want to start that build.
...and I saw this bad-boy:

Carlos and I have spoken about how I pick subjects before. I’m a 109 guy, that aircraft has so much grace and beauty...
...but when it comes to American and Allies aircraft in-general, I seem to look for something completely different. And my reaction to this subject was similar to how I reacted to the Curtiss Warhawk. Aircraft like this just have that certain *someting*. Call it “shock and awe”, say “Well yeah bro, anything with wings, guns, and a shark mouth painted on it!”, or say whatever you’d like, it’s bad ass.
This was one of those kits I had to order as soon as I saw it, so I did. And the bastard won’t be collecting any dust in my stash after it arrives, either.
