If you intend to build the Asuka M4A3E8 Sherman I would recommend going to the Tamiya web site and download the construction manual for the Tamiya Easy Eight #25175. It's the Asuka kit reboxed by Tamiya(no longer available except for a ridiculous price on e bay). Tamiya redid the instructions and they are much more detailed and clearer than Asuka's instructions. They are also in larger format(8 1/2 X 11 vs: 7 X 10). The Asuka kit is a really nice kit except for the tracks-I think they suck.

Asuka kits are the same level in moulding standard as Tamiya, in my eyes. Didn´t know one could download assembly manuals from Tamiya´s website?!? Have a link?
What´s "wrong "with the tracks?

This link should take you to the Tamiya USA page for the Tamiya 25175 Sherman Easy eight. You will see on the red bar where it says "manual" Double click it to open it or right click it and select save link as to download to your computer. Nearly all Tamiya kits alloow you to download their manuals.

The tracks are very fiddley and very difficult to assemble as workable. Even if you manage to keep from gluing the links together they are difficult to form around the drive sprocket and idler wheels. I ordered a set of AFV tracks to try.

I built the Tamiya/Asuka/Tasca Firefly,it too was a very impressive kit,and a trouble free build.
I do have the Mentioned kit in the stash also, will team it with the Legend Set to make Fury

I received the AFV Club tracks for the 1/35 scale M4A3E8 Sherman. The tracks are vinyl and the package states they have 79 links per track. Mine had 87 links per track. These tracks are not designed to be easily shortened - requires quite a bit of careful knife work. Akusa states it takes 77 links per side which is what I cut them down to. Don't understand why AFV made them so long.

The AFV single length tracks are very fragile. The few times that I have used them have not turned out well. They tend to dry up and break on the model.
