Then you might be interested in my EDW-152 racer in 1:72, which was originally a Focke-Wulf Ta 152 by Revell.

Echo thoughts...

I have always liked looking at What-If models built by others. That is a great looking model.

I've resisted the urge to build any of them myself. I do have this one silly project in my head, that won't seem to go away. I might have to build it, just to silence that little voice.

I will wait until it is done,,,,,,,but, think of the sneaky Marines running the Blue Angels, after being funded for 7 Super Hornets for the team, but not for squadron use. (and no, this model won't be a Super Hornet at all)

I'll provider some more pictures.

I like this What-if topic very much.
Currently in work: B-35 Manta Ray as "The Pursuit Of Happiness " in Korea war. Also another Focke-Wulf racer and a De Havilland Tiger Mosquito.
Already finished is a MiG 31 in indian Service.

Looks good! Even more sleek in racer guise than the original TA-152. As I get older, I appreciate "what if" builds more than I used to...

Looks slick!!!

I did one racer "what-if". Didn't do a whole lot of modification...just enough to save the old F-15 build from going to the trash can.

Image

I've only done one kit bash / heavily modified what-if.
The main airframe was a Revell Mig-29...lots of bits and pieces from other kits...

I have some ideas for more...maybe I'll get to em someday!

That looks very cool,I remember FSM had a feature highlighting what ifs, like an Isreali A-10,Australian F-16,I can't remember what else, but I do like looking at different markings like that.

Bolleken, this is so cool! Really, such an awesome and fantastic looking conversion! Colours and finish are simply :shoutout: !
Must have been a nightmare to do the masking on this one.

Thank you so much guys!

Here are some more pics of Edwin De Faste's racer.
I have only two pictures left showing from progress of building time.
Masking was not that easy, a lot of things were covered by decals.

Hope you still like it.

An here is my Indian MiG-31 in 1:72. It Shows a modified export-version of the huge MiG. I think it was the best I could do with that old kit....

The airfield is my little son's Disney Planes airfield, at that time I didn't have an own one....
