Builders Block....

I'm ashamed to say that I think I have come down with a case of Builders Block! No matter what I do, how many forums I look at, or how many times I go into my workspace, I just can't seem to get the motivation to sit down and build. I'm sure everyone has had one of these moments, but I honestly say I dont like it. I think about the kit that I have on my bench at the moment, and the other that I started and walked away from due to its many problems. I've got to find someway to get back in the building mood again. There have been days where I will sit down and spend several hours working on something, but then I dont come back for days, or even weeks.
Maybe, getting out into the beautiful mountains around here this weekend for some hunting will help clear the mind and when I return I will get back on the building bandwagon! Until, then, I'll post some stuff when I start back up. Cheers!

There's always a reason for a block. I can't find my mojo when my subconscious mind is chewing on something I even can't get a grip on. Then it's a good idea to -like you said- step out into nature and push the reset button.
Have a nice time in the mountains. Enjoy!

Happens to the best of us. I have been on mine for a couple of years now.

Yeah, I'm sure it happens to everyone. I'll get my groove back, a couple weeks in the mountains with a possibility of snow this weekend may help. Plus, I get to take my 10-year old son hunting for the first time this year.

Boy, does that hit home. It has been months for me. The B-29 / decal issues have crushed my desire. That and helping with the 3 yr old grandson. Should have never moved a computer upstairs.
Hang in there. Do a Snap-tite or something.

Same here. I've got a stash and a kit I can't even get around to finishing.

I always say don't force it,that's when bad things happen to me.It's a hobby for our enjoyment, going to work is forced, not modeling.
It will come back eventually and you will really savor it.If it doesn't then that's okay too.

I had a case of that for much of this year. It took months to pass. That's okay though, there are plenty of other things to do until the modeling bug returns. There is never enough time in the day for ALL the things that we want to do...

Every summer is like that for me....especially this year. Having my own business and all it's headaches, worries, deadlines, etc., doesn't free up the mind enough. I did my last driveway job today...tomorrow, the truck will be cleaned out and put into hibernation. One last small job to do next week and it's time for the deer woods and building some models! Two weeks into deer season (archery), and I've only been out once (opening morning)...no joy. My vegetarian daughter brought one home the other night....if ya can't Dodge it...Ram it!
Go hunting, dude!!! (and share with me some pics!!!)

Doesn't look like much hunting this weekend. There are flash flood warnings in effect for the area I go and there is supposed to be snow through tonight. I'll be heading up next week for about 5 days. Weather is supposed to break on Tuesday. I thought about going out anyway, but, this is my sons first year and I figured I didnt want to ruin him with nasty weather his first time out.
Fermis, I'll definitely share some pics with ya when I get back.
On the modelling side of things, I've started work on my TA-3B 1/48 from Trumpter, it actually felt good today to sit at the bench, especially since it was nasty outside. I'll get some WIP thread pics started.
