Airfix is poppin another in 1/72!

If it's like the rest of their newer stuff...the panel lines will be a bit heavy, but still better than the new-ish Revell B-17.

Well, we will have to wait until the injection moulded plastic has cooled down before making any comments on the panel lines, don´t we?
Looking at the link provided and all the research material mentioned I have to say I am curious about the finished product!

Just basing the panel line comment off of their other new stuff. They are a bit much, some more than others...but, I still like the kits and will continue to buy them! Just a statement, more-so than a complaint.

Seriously, the new Airfix kits offer great bang for the buck. No matter what scale and subject matter you prefer, if Airfix is doing a new tool kit in your interest area, they are worth the investment.

I'm looking forward to getting a couple of their new Sea Kings!

All their new 48th aircraft stuff is on my "wanted" list. I do wish that they would revive their 1/32 armor line or perhaps branch into 1/35. Especially if they covered all the shortfalls in Brit armor & softskins, "Between the Wars" thru today.

I'd love to see them do the same in 1/72 scale, especially with the 1/48 scale vehicles they released some time back.

Interesting one that - I'm following a dual build on another forum where the builder is ex-Seaking aircrew (RN) - although it's a good kit (the interior is very good) he reckons that unless you want a mk.4, the Revell kit is better. Apprantly, and judging by his exterior photos this is the case - the exterior finish is not as good as the Revell kit which has much better detail (which is funny as Airfix made a big thing of the LIDAR used to design the kit) - they way they've handled the intake filter with decals is also a bit questionable (untill eduard do some PE ones). Mind you, for all his reservations on the detail he does say it's a very nice kit to build - the U/C has been done very well.

so I'll be looking forward to seeing your build Fermis - I'll certainly be interested to see what you make of it. (I'll get one myself at somepoint too).

The B-17 does look nice too!
