Straight over the way of Zoukei-mura´s booth I had a nice overview to the Trumpeter booth. I could not miss sight of their new 1/48 (!) scale submarine U-552!

This kit will provide full interior and also crew figures as shown on this prototype! I am not into U-Boats, but this one looks simply amazing. The figures give a nice sense of scale and "life" on board impression. Well done, Trumpy!

See the open door at the right of the group? An employee of Trumpeter was as nice to light this area with his mobile: this is the bathroom with the toilet bowl and hand washbasin!

Wow. That sure is a nice looking kit.

That sub is just so HUGE !

Man that is one impressive model,can't be cheap.

U-552 - Typ VIIC - total length 64.5 metres. Length in 1/48 scale: 1.34 metres.

I have seen this one close-up; it´s still a prototype here. But given the full interior doesn´t look bad at all, and add to this the figures in "action" I think the price could be well in the range of a Revell 1/72 boat including the mass of after market stuff. I have got no price information but look forward to this release.
