I bought a roll at Walmart earlier to give it a try.
Seems a lot like Tamiya tape in ways.

I use Frog yellow tape and blue painter tape as well. As long as they're painter tape, you're golden. What's nice about them is they're a great alternative to Tamiya tape. Cheaper too. BTW - I couldn't find any green frog tape at Walmart so the yellow ones are just as good.

I also use the yellow Frog tape as well as 3M blue painters tape. I like them for some applications. I've found that the yellow seems to be pretty similar to Tamiya tape, minus the cost. It also seems to seal edges well when painting. The only thing I've found that I'm not real happy with is the 3M tape doesnt seam to seal the edges as well as the Frog tape.

I've started to use the yellow Frog tape as it's supposed to be 'low tack'. so far it seems good stuff and a lot cheaper than tamiya for general masking.
I still use 6mm tamiya tape for d-day stripes etc on 1/72 as in that scale it's the right wifth.

Yep. Use it a lot. About the same as the ever famous kabuki paper that some masks are printed on. You can buy that stuff from Maketar, but this is just as good.
