I have to go pre-shade my Jolly Roger Hornet after I finish my decompression build.
Most of the people I've seen using the 'decompression build' - doesn't mean they don't wimp out on doing a good job. Maybe not all the fuss and bother, but.......

You're right too about the "decompression" build, and I was trying to make that distinction. But keep in mind my experience on this isn't coming solely from the fine folks here....there's a lot more going on out there.

yup. way too many experts. any advice on getting the yellow to look right. it is so hard to paint

Some interesting points Jim - I certainly agree with the whole White/Yellow/Red business - I've never seen the issue.

I've learned a long time ago when painting white or yellow is simply airbrush in several coats until you get the desired shade you're looking for. Simple enough for me.

I've yet to find a decompression build! Even when I try. Sort of like the guy in the Lowe's commercial that is going to learn how to fold fitted sheets.
