One of my dreams has finally come to fruition. Grey Matters Figures has re-released a 1/32 resin HS-129, as of yesterday, 6 August. Those who have seen or followed any of my builds knows I have a penchant for the odd and obscure. The HS-129 is just one of those. One of those rare instances where the Germans had to create an aircraft to meet a threat.

A Google search will explain more, but in brief, the aircraft was a twin engine, single seater with a snub nose and heavy armament. The main purpose was as an anti-tank/anti-personnel weapon on the Eastern Front. Although slow, and not very agile due to the weight from the cannon(s), it was highly lethal to Soviet armor.

Now, if I can only convince someone to produce more Italian aircraft......

It should make an interesting addition to my display shelf.

Ah, that flying can opener. With a cockpit that narrow that some instruments had to be attached to the inner sides of the engine cowlings.

1/32 and resine, sounds a bit expensive.

The original moulds should be from Jerry Rutman, so this kit should be more than worth the money asked for. Did you already place your order?

Recycling still is in use by Germany today!

I sure did, Thomas. Placed it yesterday. It is the J Rutman moulds, so I didn't hesitate. On another forum, the question was raised as to whether or not Jerry would rework his P-51B molds for another run. The answer being no, (in anticipation that Tamiya may release a B), Grey Matters announced they would be re-releasing the Hs-129. So i jumped on it.
