A Yak-6 with ill fitting windows, silvered decals and a string for rigging the aerial.

So THOSE are you embarrassing builds?

Well if that's the level being set can I point you in the direction of my current WIP threads as non of mine are as good as that!

Yeah, no... I looked through my extensive (and expensive) catalogue of builds and couldn't really find anything to these low standards. I did find a model that only placed 2nd at an IPMS Nationals---that was the closest I got...

These three come all the way from 2009!!! I no longer have any of them. The fort and corsair got crushed when shelves fell on them, and my dad kidnapped the phantom.

Old Airfix dual kit, Spitfire chasing buzz-bomb, 1/72 scale. This guy got crushed when I had my shelving accident



Revel/mono P-51 in 1/48. This is my first mustang, "Chickpea". Also got crushed


This Schwalbe made it out of the shelving disaster mostly intact, only antenna and landing gear broke. I fixed it up and it sits in my new(er) display case. RoG 1/72

That is a fancy color scheme on the Phantom Owl. I like it, what kind of a whiff is it?

This pains me...a little bit!!!!

This goes way back to around 1994-ish...one of the first few kits that I built after coming back the first time.
My "bench" was an old mildewed desk, in a stone walled, dirt floored basement, that only had one light bulb hanging in a corner. My tools/supplies consisted of a handful of Testors paints, two brushes, Testors tube glue, a black, plastic handled hobby knife and a couple rattlecans. I got this kit for a buck, along with a couple Starfix kits that met their demise many years ago!

...okay...that hurt me eyes a bit...

My miserable attempt on the 1/9 scale Kübelwagen about ten years ago. Had a Revell Starter Kit-Airbrush back then. No compressor, just a can full of blast. Aborted build after I forced the rubber parts to shrink in hot water (tried to get rid of the plasticizer).
