I think it was two intake halves with a fan, another round piece with some kind of fan on it (sorry I don't know turbo prop engines, lol) then another piece that went over that, and the nacelle halves, plus the little fiddly bits that go on the outside and the exhaust. I was trying to find a picture of the sprue online, but couldn't.

Haven't gotten to the bench yet today, not sure if I will. Sundays are usually my day for relaxing after Saturday's. The drive to and from the museum in one day just wipes me out. It's three hours or my day spent driving. I was out there doing some photography yesterday as well. Tomorrow is trick or treating with my daughter. Hopefully I'll have some time on Tuesday. Have to love when life gets in the way of bench time.

Wow, that's neat! Did anyone ever make a P&W 1830? If I'm at least somewhat familiar with an aircraft engine, that would be the one. I can name most of the parts on it, still a lot more to learn though. I'll admit, less than four years ago I knew absolutely nothing about aircraft engines, or Whiskey 7's history. I have gained a TON of knowledge in the short time I've been a volunteer at the museum.

I tried to build this kit. It has some interesting features. If it isn’t aligned perfectly, it won’t turn and the shaft that ties it all together is plastic, it breaks.

Renewal does a Wasp...single row. They are long out of production and a bit pricey.

It's gotta be an 1830, lol. Definitely the engine I've had my hands on the most. We've done a couple of engine swaps since I've been there. The tiny engines that come with the Trumpeter kit are at least better than the Monogram offering. Oh well.

I should have some progress to report later on today now that the Halloween festivities are over. I could use a relaxing day at the bench after all that walking last night.
